Love,Ish by Karen Rivers Review

Ish is just like any twelve-year-old girl who wants to go to mars. She will miss a lot of things, though. One of them might be her former friend, Tig.Then on the first day of school, she collapses. Her diagnosis will change everything. Ish has cancer, and she is afraid she will never see mars. Does she find her place in the universe? Ish is an interesting character. She doesn't fit in with her classmates. She is very intelligent and often doesn't relate well to other people. I found it hard to put the book down because I wanted to know how Ish's story ended. I will warn you now, while some parts of this story are humorous, others you'll need tissues Overall this is a wonderful middle-grade book that handles a tough topic nicely. You'll be glad that you got to know Ish.

Library Haul

Hello! Welcome back to hauntedbybooks13. Today I thought I would share with you what books I borrowed from the library. I know I have tons of books at home but I like to support my local library. Also, the temptation is just too great. I see something that looks interesting so I pick it up. Then I see another and I'm like I can't leave it here. I have to check it out, it's fate. This goes on and on until I have a stack of books to take home. Whoops. Moving away from how I went overboard, here is what I came home with. All of these looked really interesting to me. Have you read any of these? Have you been picking up any books? If you want you can leave a  comment telling me what books you've been checking out from your library. Happy Reading!                                                April

BOOKMADNESS17

Hi , everyone! Welcome to hauntedbybooks13! I am so excited to be participating in this year's bookmadness! Bookmadness is where booktubers,Bookstagrammers and bloggers gush about a character. Then you can vote for your favorite characters.  Just to remind everyone that you can vote for up to five characters. There are also cool prizes that you can enter to win after you vote.  The character I have chosen is Thomas Cresswell from Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalo. I read this book back in October and I loved it! I absolutely adore Thomas.  He has dark brown hair, golden brown eyes, and is very tall. He kind of reminds you a bit of Sherlock in some ways. He's very intelligent and he knows it. That makes he seem kind of arrogant. He's very handsome, witty and charming. He is also very loyal and caring. Did I mention he loves to read?  I found this picture on Pinterest so  all the credit goes to the artist. Here are some quotes from the book to help
