Love,Ish by Karen Rivers Review

Ish is just like any twelve-year-old girl who wants to go to mars. She will miss a lot of things, though. One of them might be her former friend, Tig.Then on the first day of school, she collapses. Her diagnosis will change everything. Ish has cancer, and she is afraid she will never see mars. Does she find her place in the universe?
Ish is an interesting character. She doesn't fit in with her classmates. She is very intelligent and often doesn't relate well to other people. I found it hard to put the book down because I wanted to know how Ish's story ended. I will warn you now, while some parts of this story are humorous, others you'll need tissues Overall this is a wonderful middle-grade book that handles a tough topic nicely. You'll be glad that you got to know Ish.
