She doesn't fit in with her classmates. She is very intelligent and often doesn't relate well to other people. I found it hard to put the book down because I wanted to know how Ish's story ended. I will warn you now, while some parts of this story are humorous, others you'll need tissues Overall this is a wonderful middle-grade book that handles a tough topic nicely. You'll be glad that you got to know Ish.
