The Dragons of Nova (Loom Saga #2)
by Elise Kova
Publication Date: July 11, 2017
Publisher: Keymaster Press
Cvareh returns home to his sky world of Nova with the genius crafter Arianna as his temperamental guest. The mercurial inventor possesses all the Xin family needs to turn the tides of a centuries-old power struggle, but the secrets she harbors must be earned with trust — hard to come by for Ari, especially when it comes to Dragons. On Nova, Ari finds herself closer to exacting vengeance against the traitor who killed everything — and everyone – she once loved. But before Ari can complete her campaign of revenge, the Crimson Court exposes her shadowed past and reveals something even more dangerous sparking between her and Cvareh.
While Nova is embroiled in blood sport and political games, the rebels on Loom prepare for an all-out assault on their Dragon oppressors. Florence unexpectedly finds herself at the forefront of change, as her unique blend of skills — and quick-shooting accuracy — makes her a force to be reckoned with. For the future of her world, she vows vengeance against the Dragons.
Before the rebellion can rise, though, the Guilds must fall.

TOP 5 FAVORITE DRAGONS
1) GRINGOTTS’ DRAGON (Harry Potter)
The idea of a bank using a dragon to defend vaults I always thought was incredibly cool. I also really appreciated how Rowling dove into a bit of the ethics of this particular dragon and how it was used.
2) TOOTHLESS (How to Train Your Dragon)
Can't have a list about dragons without this adorable, wonderful, creature, can we?! Not only is How to Train Your Dragon an amazing movie, but Toothless is an incredible character (which is impressive as a character with no spoken lines).
3) THE DRAGON (Uprooted)
I love what Novik did in Uprooted by taking a "fairy tale dragon" and, rather than having it be a fire-breathing beast, it was a sorcerer. Plus, he is oh, so, swooney!
4) KAZUL (Dealing with Dragons)
The Enchanted Forest Chronicles were some of my favorite books when I was younger, and I absolutely loved the relationship between Kazul and his willing princess prisoner Cimorene.
5) SMAUG (Lord of the Rings)
Smaug is one of the classic dragons in literature and well worth a shout out. Furthermore, Benedict Cumberbatch voices him in the movies, which is basically the best thing ever.
